How to get paid more........

List Critical Skills

Every employer has a budget in mind when he's out to hire somebody and he will only raise the limit if he feels that the candidate has some critical skill that is not easy to find. "Show me the talents that make you worth the extra dough"

Prove you can multi-task

You need to convince your prospective employer that if the need arises, you will be able to pitch in other areas as well

Chalk out your network

It's not only the skills that you have that matter, but also the people you know and the business you can attract.

Underline your location

While this factor may not be terribly important when hiring people for higher positions, it does come into play when you're applying for a job as a personal assistant or an office administrator.

Ask for a correction

Explain your situation to your prospective employer so he makes an exception and gives you a bigger hike than the standard percentage

Make the most of your CTC

Take a minute to figure out how much money you will actually be taking home every month. Tweak your allowances so you save on tax and get more cash into your wallet. Some companies allow you to choose from a basket of allowances. But you must furnish bills for the reimbursements. Opt for these tax-free reimbursements instead of allowances
